The Blue Caboose is owned and managed by the Lima-Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau and staffed by nearly 30 volunteers. These Tourism Specialists give their time, enthusiasm, and knowledge to welcoming visitors to Lima and Allen County by providing local, state, and regional information and printed materials for inquisitive travelers. The Caboose is open seasonally from the end of May to Labor Day.

Lima Symphony - An Evening with Stephen Prutsman

Spend an evening with world-renowned pianist, composer and arranger Stephen Prutsman. He will inspire you with his charismatic performance of Prokofiev's most famous work for piano.  The Lima Symphony Chorus will join the orchestra for this finale concert which will include an evocative impressionistic masterpiece by Claude Debussy.

Shipshewana on the Road

Shipshewana On The Road travels to many locations in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, and Lima is part of their 18th year this year.  There will be dealers at over 220 booths filled with unique products at prices you just won't believe.  Children and their strollers are always welcome at the shows.  Handicap accessibility, ATM services, free parking and a full array of refreshments for everyone's enjoyment will all be provided.

Ronald W. Richards Scholarship Concert

Sunday, April 26, 2009.
3:00 p.m.
Location: Trinity United Methodist Church.

The concluding concert in the series will bring Celtic music to the stage with flutes and a harp.  Jan Bishop, principal harpist for the Lima Symphony Orchestra along with Kim Cosiano and Cindy Strathman, flutists, all from Findlay, comprise the trio.

Members of the RWR concert team have scheduled three special concerts in which funds will be sought for scholarships for graduating high school seniors planning to enter the field of music after they complete their college education.  Students may apply for scholarship through the Lima Kiwanis Club which coordinates the program each year.

Bye Bye Birdie - The plot revolves around rock and roll superstar Conrad Birdie and the complications that arise when his agent stages a publicity stunt on The Ed Sullivan Show in which he will kiss one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio before being drafted into the army. 

Prices for subscription ticket packages range from $180 to $230.  Single tickets go on sale 1/16/09 at $46.00, all ages, all seats.
