In our American culture, It's a Wonderul Life hs become almost as familiar as Dicken's A Christmas Carol. We present the saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. His guardian angel descends to Earth on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him, by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born, that his has been, after all, a wonderful life.

Free Community Breakfast2nd Saturday of every month starting June 13. December 12, 2009 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Location: The Future Church, 235 W. Kibby St., Lima. The ACTS 434 (Allen County Transitional Services) and the Future Church will be holding a free community breakfast. This breakfast is open to ANYBODY that comes in the front door. This event is a community outreach for the economically disadvantaged of Lima and Allen County.
There will be scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, milk, juice and coffee served.

Lima Symphony - Hollywood, An Evening with John WilliamsThursday, December 31, 2009 7:30 p.m. Location: Veterans' Memorial Civic & Convention Center, Crouse Performance Hall.
This New Year's Eve, escape from sharks and raptors, fall in love with a superhero, swell with the pride of nations and have a close encounter with a five-time Oscar winner.
We will celebrate John Williams' most memorable scores, including classic pieces of suspense and optimistic themes that overwhelm you with heartfelt joy. This music will inspire, terrify, embolden, and simply, make you smile. With the theme from Jaws, synonymous with approaching danger, the spine tingling chills of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jurassic Park, the hauntingly expressive themes from Memoirs of a Geisha and Angela's Ashes or the noble and majestic Olympic Fanfare, this concert will entertain and delight.
