Save the Wildflowers Work Days

June Work Days:
June 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 2010.
(Times will be scheduled as needed on these dates.)

Garlic Mustard is a biennial plant from Europe that is a prolific seeder.  Seeds can lay dormant for 10 years.  Garlic Mustard secretes chemicals into the soil which are toxic to our native spring wildflowers.  If left unchecked, Garlic Mustard can soon dominate the forest floor and destroy the ecology of our woodlands in the Park District.
