- ATTENTION NATIONAL TRAPPERS ASSOCIATION!

The Blue Caboose is owned and managed by the Lima-Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau and staffed by nearly 30 volunteers. These Tourism Specialists give their time, enthusiasm, and knowledge to welcoming visitors to Lima and Allen County by providing local, state, and regional information and printed materials for inquisitive travelers. The Caboose is open seasonally from the end of May to Labor Day.

Rebel Run Rod & Custom Nationals

September 17 - 20, 2009.
Location: Allen County Fairgrounds.

This is the 30th annual Rebel Run Rod & Custom Nationals car show.

Registration begins at 12:00 noon on Thursday with gates open to the public at 1:00 p.m. Registration begins on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 a.m. with gates open to the public at 9:00 a.m.

Activities for the entire family.  Entertainment will be provided by some great musical acts. Special guests will be in attendance, and other activities will include 50/50 drawings, a swap meet, craft show, model car contest on Saturday and drive-in movies all weekend.  Golden Years Race Days are Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 12:00 noon.

Admission for spectators is $7.00 per day, and children under the age of 12 are free.

Laurel Oaks Hobby & Harvest Fair

Saturday, September 19, 2009.
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location:  Laurel Oaks Park.

Always the third Saturday in September, the Laurel Oaks Hobby & Harvest Fair is a great day of shopping and fun.  Approximately 100 crafters, great food and games for the kids. 

Follow Dutch Hollow Road South of Elida to Pheasant or Willow.  Parking on the street, or park at Elida H.S. and ride the FREE shuttle leaving every 15 minutes.
