About the Bureau

Welcome to the Lima/Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau. No matter what brings you to Allen County, the CVB can help make your stay pleasant and your event a success.  We can provide you with information on hotel/motel accommodations, meeting and banquet facilities, area attractions, and dining, shopping and local events.  We can also help you in more comprehensive ways to make your event extraordinary by offering: site inspections of lodging facilities, venues and attractions; convention and meeting consultation, bid proposals, resource packets for pre-mailings, welcome letters, and CVB promotional materials for conventions/groups, Motorcoach itineraries, event calendars, registration assistance and much more. Remember, in Lima/Allen County we are here to help YOU!

Generate new dollars for Lima/Allen County by promoting the hospitality industry: area wide accommodations, meeting facilities, the Civic and Convention Center, restaurants, places of interest, attractions, as well as other community assets.

Act as goodwill ambassadors, extend hospitality to visitors in our community, and set an example to others in the area wide hospitality industry.

        blueCaboose"Little Blue Caboose" Tourist Information Center I-75 and State Route 309 East (behind Howard Johnson Hotel) - 419-222-3333. Beginning Mid-May, open 9am to 5pm Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 9am to 3pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1pm to 5pm Sundays, through Labor Day.

        Lima/Allen County's seasonal Tourist Information Center pays tribute to our railroad heritage. The "Little Blue Caboose" stands as a symbol of the importance of the locomotive in Lima´s emergence as an industrial powerhouse. Our tourist information center pays homage to our city´s greatest triumph.

        The "Little Blue Caboose" is staffed entirely by community volunteers. Located inside the Caboose is information on local events, attractions, hotels, and restaurants. Stop in and visit with one of our tourism specialists and find out what makes Allen County so special.
