Phase One is the 1.2 miles of paved trail for hiking, bicycling and jogging along the Ottawa River from Collett Street Recreation Area to the Central Business District on Main Street. Phase Two connects the Collett Street Recreation Area to Schoonover Park, over 2.5 miles of new trail. Phase 3 connects Schoonover Park on out to the Ottawa Metro Park.
The Riverwalk serves the citizens of Lima/Allen County as a safe alternative transportation route to Lima's central business district, YMCA, and numerous parks, schools and neighborhoods. It connects Heritage Park in Shawnee Township to and through the City of Lima to the Ottawa Metro Park in Bath Township. A 13.27 mile hiking/biking trail along the Ottawa River connecting a city park to a metro park, parking and restroom facilities are available.
